Great blog. It will be interesting to see what your budget looks like down island. My wife and I did a similar trip in 2000 with a dog and cat, and we figured we were spending roughly 25,000/year. We rented cars (one for 3 months in Grenada), dined out a lot, and flew home 2 times. Your data is giving me hope we can do it again for our second (and hopefully last) retirement.
